Lutheran Towers Named "Most Active Senior Community in Midtown" for 2026

Lutheran Towers was honored to host its annual Volunteer Appreciation Celebration, bringing together resident volunteers, community partners, staff, and special guests for an unforgettable evening of recognition and gratitude. This year's event embraced a Bridgerton-inspired masquerade theme, transforming the evening into a celebration filled with elegance, charm, and timeless beauty. Guests enjoyed an atmosphere of refined décor, delicious refreshments, music, fellowship, and plenty of memorable moments, all while celebrating the extraordinary individuals whose service strengthens our community each day. While the beautiful setting made for a magical evening, the true stars of the event were our volunteers. From resident volunteers who generously give their time to support neighbors and enhance daily life within the Towers, to our dedicated community partners who continually invest their talents, resources, and hearts into our mission, each honoree was recognized for the meaningful impact they make throughout the year. Volunteerism is the foundation of a thriving community. Every act of kindness—whether it's welcoming a new resident, leading an activity, assisting with events, offering companionship, or supporting our programs—helps create a place where residents feel connected, valued, and at home. The evening served as a heartfelt reminder that the strength of Lutheran Towers lies not only in its programs and services but in the people who choose to serve with compassion, generosity, and purpose. To every volunteer and community partner, thank you for sharing your time, your talents, and your hearts with us. Your dedication enriches the lives of our residents and helps make Lutheran Towers the vibrant, active, and caring community it is today. Lutheran Towers officially launched its highly anticipated Nourishing Souls Campaign on Sunday, May 11, during the annual Lutheran Towers Sunday celebration in partnership with the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. This two-year initiative marks a significant milestone in the organization’s commitment to whole-person wellness by addressing one of the most essential, yet often under-supported, components of senior well-being: spiritual wellness. The campaign is centered on the creation and sustainability of a community chaplaincy program designed to serve the residents of Lutheran Towers with compassionate spiritual care and emotional support.

On Saturday, April 26, Lutheran Towers rolled out the red carpet—and the roulette wheel—for a very special evening honoring the incredible volunteers who help make our mission possible. Our annual Volunteer Appreciation Event was a joyful celebration of the resident volunteers, community supporters, and generous individuals who give their time, energy, and resources to help our residents age well in place with dignity, support, and joy.
